After mending my pajamas for about the millionth time, I decided it was time for a new pair. But of course I couldn't quite muster the effort to go buy a sewing machine, so I made this pair of pjs by hand.
I enjoy hand stitching - I find it a comforting process in the evenings. I experimented with a new technique - overcasting by hand - and I'm finding this finish really comfortable against the skin. The cotton is lovely and soft, and the colours are bright and cheerful.
I used a Martha Stewart pattern, printed onto paper and assembled with sellotape. I'll hang on to it for future pjs - comfy and stylish. Yay for making my own clothes.
lovely!
